1. Who we are

Memora ("Memora", "we"). For personal data you give us directly, we act as the data controller.

2. What we collect

Account data: email, display name, authentication identifiers.
Content data: audio recordings, transcripts, speaker labels, notes you create.
Usage data: device, IP address, browser, and service telemetry for security and product improvement.
Support data: messages you send to support.

Payment card details are collected directly by Paddle, not by us.

3. Why we use it

To provide the service (contract performance): account creation, transcription, sync across devices.
To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interests).
To handle support (legitimate interests / contract performance).
To improve the product (legitimate interests).
To comply with legal obligations.

4. Who we share it with

Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record, for sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
Cloud infrastructure provider — database, authentication, and file storage hosting.
Content delivery provider — hosting and edge delivery.
AI speech processing providers — transcription of your audio recordings.
AI language model provider — generating summaries from transcript text.
Authorities where required by law.

5. International transfers

Our providers are based in various countries including the US and EU. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses).

6. Retention

We keep your content while your account is active — we do not auto-delete it on a timer. You can delete individual recordings and transcripts at any time, or delete your entire account (and all associated data) on request from your profile. When you delete your account we erase your data from our database and storage; backups roll off shortly after.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or export your data, and to object to processing. You can do the main ones yourself from your profile: Export my data downloads everything we hold about you (account, recordings, transcripts, summaries) as a JSON file, and Delete account permanently erases it. For anything else, email hello@keepmemora.com. EU/UK users can also complain to their local supervisory authority.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and row-level security on user data.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies.
